How is everyone doing today. I know it’s Monday and most of you don’t care too much for this day but I’m in a pretty good mood.
I had an ok weekend. I didn’t do much. It was very relaxing.
What song you ask. Biz Markie – Just A Friend! LOL! Surprisingly I still knew all the words…by heart. I usually do NOT get anywhere near a karaoke microphone but I didn’t mind singing a song from the BIZ!
…I just had to do it. Enjoy!
Needless to say it was a fun night. The Birthday girl got a little too drunk but hey, it was her birthday!
Saturday was kind of laid back but cool. I paid some bills and did my food shopping in the morning.
…and picked up some movies. I don’t watch any T.V. but I LOVE my DVD movies! (these store are both new/used record stores. So I get my movies for CHEAP!)
Also, I picked up some toiletries. I decided to buy some whitening strip things. I got the Target brand but it’s all the same. I started using the whitening strips on Saturday so by Friday my chompers should be pearly white!
(I took a before picture..I look weird. Yikes!)
…as a matter of fact I think the last time I did buy a pair a shoes it was last year (a year ago). And I know the soles are not falling off my old kicks but they are pretty old.

(and as you can see I walk on my heel.)
ANNOYANCE! Lol!
Sunday it was a chill day. Kind of gloomy. It was raining on and off. I did my laundry. I go to a place right down the street from me.
While waiting for my cloths to get clean I went for a walk. There’s always plenty to look at around the Chicago streets.
I decided to take a few pictures of the art work that was up on some of the walls around my neighborhood.

…This is some good stuff. I’m actually thinking about taking pics of art and other interesting things I see and share them with you in the future. We’ll see how that works.
Friends. How many of us have them? FRIENDS!
OK…so enough about my weekend. Let’s move on.
Today I’d like to talk about friendships. How important are they to you?
Do you keep your friends “fo life” or have you out grown a few of them?
I know it’s sad but I have defiantly out grown MORE than a few of my friends.
The reason this subject is on my mind this morning is because I just had a falling out with someone who I thought was pretty close to me.
And this weekend just kind of sealed the deal for me as far as ending things completely.
I’m not going to say any names…and don’t ask. Or guess. Or ask me to tell you if you guess it right!
It’s just sad to me how some people act.
But how should I feel in a moment like this? Should I be angry and upset or should I just let it slide off my back and move on?
I guess it all depends on how much this person really meant to me. To be honest, they meant a lot to me.
So being upset was my initial reaction.
Then I just got sad. Then I just seemed desperate…which sucks and does not match the type of person I am.
So I said “fuck it!” If this person is not going to answer my calls, texts or e-mails…what else can I do?
I deleted them from Facebook. Deleted their phone number from my phone, their e-mail, any pictures I had of them…etc.
The really peculiar part of all of this is…I don’t even know exactly what I did to make them act this way towards me.
I went over it and over it in my head all last week and this weekend…and the only answers I did come up with were not worthy of this type of behavior.
So if by chance the person I am talking about is reading this…at this point all I can say this…
KICK ROCKS ASSHOLE!
(Rant sequence complete.)
RANDOM STUFF AND JUNK…
This show is so ahead of its time!
Funny and REALLY funny!
Now it’s time for, “I’M JUST SAYING…”
I’m going BACK to the gym!
(this is a picture of Ruby Gettinger. Weighing in at 700lbs!)
HLN host and co-host of The View Joy Behar talked with Style Network’s star of Ruby, Ruby Gettinger about losing weight and not realizing she was fat – Until she saw the show.
“I would look in the mirror,” Ruby said on the show Tuesday. “And I was, like, you know anorexic people look in the mirror and they see themselves fat. I would look in the mirror and I didn’t see myself as big as I was,” she said. Adding, “The first time I saw myself was when I started the documentary.”
Ruby stars in her own reality TV show about her journey with weight loss on Style Network (Sundays, 8 p.m.). Since the beginning of her struggle, Ruby has lost 400 pounds – Starting at 716 pounds at the beginning of the show.
“I wasn’t eating because I was hungry,” Ruby said in an interview with People magazine. “Food controlled me.”
In her interview with Joy, Ruby admitted she was happy at 700 pounds but she knew if she didn’t lose the weight she was going to die. Ruby says she felt her body “shutting down” and the older she got, the more challenging it was to function normally. For example, Ruby talks about her “joints not moving”.
Ok…so I know this might be a touchy subject for some people. (including me!…well, sort of) Real talk…I go up and down the scale so quickly it’s enough to make your head spin! And I know that the obesity epidemic is a really big deal here in the U.S. and that some people can’t control the amount of weight they gain because of certain health issues or their hereditary genes but come on! Lady, you REALLY didn’t think you were fat? Now I’m a pretty big guy standing at 6’3” tall but this woman is/was MORE than twice my weight! At this point it would be like Charlie Murphy looking in the mirror and not thinking he was black!!! (CHARLIE MURPHYYYYYYY! You’re awesome! Don’t beat me up.) What I’m saying is…it should have been more than obvious to this woman. It’s one thing to be happy but it’s another thing to be healthy. Now I’m not telling anyone how to live their life nor am I saying that the world isn’t full of different types of people. I like different…but we are talking health issues here and I’m pretty sure this woman is somewhat delusional. I hate to sounds shallow or cruel in any way but this story has brought me a new inspiration to lose weight and try to eat healthier! Seriously, in all seriousness. And just for the record…I am NOT making fun of this woman but at the same time I do not feel any pity for her either. She’s a grown woman (no pun intended) and she is free to do what she wants.
However, this woman gives a whole new meaning to the term “LOTS OF LOVING!”
…I’M JUST SAYING.
Shout out to Bret Michaels! I hope you pull through this quick and start feeling better soon.
(In case you didn’t already know…)
(PEOPLE.com) – As Bret Michaels continues to be watched closely by his doctors, a source reveals the rocker’s excruciating moments before he was taken to the emergency room.
According to the source, Michaels, 47, said the headache that prompted him to call for an ambulance felt “like [getting] hit in the head with a baseball bat over and over again.”
Often referred to by doctors as a “thunderclap headache” because of the intensity and suddenness of the pain, such headaches are a tell-tale symptom of the kind of brain hemorrhage that Michaels suffered.
The source close to the situation adds, “Bret is still in ICU. He still has the headache and is heavily sedated.”
A statement on his fan site noted that doctors are still searching for the source of the bleeding.
“In some patients, doctors never find the source,” says Dr. Keith Siller of New York University’s Comprehensive Stroke Care Center. The bleeding could be very small, or the rupture itself can “cure” the source of the problem, says Dr. Siller.
If no source of an aneurysm or an abnormal vein-artery connection known as an AVM is found, “you basically just wait for the symptoms to go away,” says Dr. Siller. The patient typically remains under close observation, as Michaels is, so doctors can monitor for possible complications.
But if the patient is able to speak, “they’re on the better end of things,” says Dr. Siller, noting that physical therapy and speech therapy are often required to make a full recovery.
On TV’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” on which Michaels is a participant, Sunday night’s episode carried a post-script.
Accompanying slow-motion footage of Bret carrying luggage across a tarmac, a voiceover said, “Everyone here at NBC wishes Bret Michaels a speedy recovery.”
Today’s question is more for me but I still would like your input.
Do you think I should keep doing these blogs EVERYDAY OR only 2 or 3 times a week?
I have my own reasons as to why I’ve been pondering over this but I would really like to hear what you, the readers, think. Thanks.
Oh and I almost forgot. Going back to this weekend I donated a little money to a charitable organization called Misericordia/Heart of Mercy.
I kind of did it on a whim because the opportunity presented itself and I was in a giving mood.
Which brings us to today’s featured website…
Mission Statement
The Mission of Misericordia/Heart of Mercy is to support individuals with developmental disabilities in maximizing their level of independence and self-determination within an environment that fosters spirituality, dignity, respect and enhancement of quality of life. We promote development of natural family and community support, community awareness, education and advocacy.
(I’m actually looking to help out some more for other organizations but I would rather do it by giving my time and volunteering. Anyone have any ideas?)
